Running a business when its just you can be really lonely. Who do you sense check things with? Who do ask for help and advice? Who has your back?
I have been very fortunate in my own business journey that I have met many people who have been willing to share their knowledge and experiences in order to help me to progress and make decisions.
But I know that putting yourself out there and going to events where you might meet people like this is challenging and let's face it mostly down to fate.
I have also felt regularly that the business communities and help out there has never really fitted my own unique business journey and I have wasted a lot of time and energy (and cash) finding that out.
A community, not another course
The trend these days is to buy a course and then you get to join a facebook group or whatever. Essentially paying a premium to have access to a guru and lots of one size fits all content.
What I think we all actually need is the option to meet lots of people in the same boat as us. Not necessarily with the exact same business but some similar challenges and obstacles. So they can offer insights and help in real time on specific issues rather than the broad strokes 'how to build a business' information approach.
